If you feel lost...you're not. You're growing.

"Right now I don't feel like myself at all."
Most people have probably had this thought at some point. And often, overthinking follows directly after.
What's wrong with me right now?
Why do I feel so different?
Why does everything suddenly feel unfamiliar ?
But perhaps that's not the problem at all. Perhaps growth simply means that you're getting to know a new version of yourself.
And of course, it feels strange at first.
You've never been this version of yourself before.
We often think that growth should feel motivating, clear, and exciting.
But in reality, it sometimes feels more like confusion. Like disorientation. Like an in-between space.
Not quite the old version of you anymore: but also not yet fully arrived in the new one.
And that's precisely where many people start to think they're lost. But something completely natural is happening: you're evolving.
Life is constantly changing us.
Through experience.
Through pain.
Through new perspectives.
Through healing.
Through decisions.
Through things we let go of.
And each time, a new part of us is created .
Therefore, "I don't feel like myself" doesn't automatically mean something bad. Because you are still you – and you always will be! Maybe not the same version of yourself as a year ago. Maybe not the same person you were in another phase of your life. But still you.
Only with new ideas.
New needs.
New frontiers.
New dreams.
New sides that you are just getting to know.
And that's exactly what's sometimes frightening.
Because change is unknown. And everything unknown feels uncertain at first.
But maybe you don't have to understand everything right away. Maybe you just need to allow yourself to change.
Without making you feel bad about it. ☀️
You're not lost at all. You're simply growing.
So the next time you catch yourself having that thought, simply reframe your thought and notice how suddenly it feels easier.
